Leadership Pike County

 

Confident, skilled, and knowledgeable leaders guide organizations and communities through the challenges they faced in today’s changing environment. More leaders are needed to set up, get involved, and make more vibrant communities.

This leadership development training program is geared for you, the interested community volunteer, who wants to make a difference in your community.

About the program

This program consist of eleven, four-hour sessions spread over the course of several months, with optional one-day trip to the Indiana Statehouse. Many of the sessions have been combined into two sessions during a full day for approximately 8:00am –  4:00pm, with some projects and team building time incorporated during these times as well.

You are expected to attend 10 of the 11 sessions in order to receive a Certificate of Completion from Purdue Extension.

You’ll learn from personal experience and self-assessments, small group actives and discussions, current community leaders, online leadership webinars, and real-life applications.

The Program will participate in a Community Project. The project will be completed by the participants and benefit the county. Time is set aside on selected days for participants to complete the selected project.

Program cost and applications

The program fee is $300.
Scholarships are available and may be available through your company or local Extension Office.
